SlumDog Millionaire!!!!!!!

Its too late now to write about the hottest thing of the year - Slum dog Millionaire!!!
it was so God damn hyped that I am still wondering, what was it in the movie???
actors, music, screenplay, script, direction......what exactly was it that it made it through the highest Oscars and plenty of Golden Globes!!

I have heard people say "What a piece of 'art'...." or "Its an incredible movie....." or "a masterpiece...." or even up to the extent that "its legendary........"

I cant really hold on to my nerves when I hear something like this! Its such a shame to even know that people from our own country loved the work of a foreign director, who knows literally "nothing" about India and like a times reporter quoted once, Slumdog to be a "poverty - porn"...

Real India....now that's a wacky term!!! How can Danny Boyle know even what is India all about, forget it being real or superficial...? How can anyone just with some good "movie making skills" come up and make a movie portraying real India....? And yeah right, come to talk about real India, there were million things in the movie that is no where even close to real India!!

There are many blogs and communities on Orkut and elsewhere, where people say they smelt of Children of Heaven and Salaam Bombay in this movie.....i felt like throwing off my laptop at that time and all i could do is drop my jaw low and leave my eyes wide open!!! I mean, what the hell? Salaam Bombay and Slumdog??? Anyone who would even think of comparing the two should be hanged to death for this!!! There is just no comparison!!

I read an article in Times of India that said that this movie is a new age imperialism...and I just couldn't agree more to it...come to think of it, it is true! There is so much more to our Country, so much more that i bet, most of us (Indians) are still in the discovery of our culture, heritage, and still know not all about it...There are so many good things in our country, even in Mumbai, the place which is in the limelight in the movie...

Talking about the dark sides, which nation doesn't have it? Its there, everywhere...but we need to no go ga-ga over it and suppress our good things..ask yourself someday, is India all about: Poverty, Riots, Communal disturbances, Underworld-mafia, Murders, Police atrocities, Prostitution, Beggars, Paupers, Sex Trafficking and Call center cultures...........NO i do not think so!! There is so much more it, so much more good to it...so much more of better things!!

I liked the "way" this movie was made but the story line, the theme of the movie, which is the heart of any movie was way to horrible for me to disregard it and still love the direction or the screenplay!
